How to Apply and FAQs

Our scholarship application form will be posted online January. You are welcome to apply for as many scholarships as you qualify for, and we look forward to reviewing your application.

What scholarships are available?

A full list of scholarships is available above.

How do scholarships work?

After you submit your scholarship application, it will be reviewed. We’ll make sure you meet any eligibility criteria and, from there, a winner will be selected by committee. Winners will then be notified of their award, and we will coordinate the disbursement of scholarship funds with you and the school at which you are enrolled.

Are scholarships taxable?

In general, scholarships are not considered taxable income. If you are a degree candidate at an eligible school, and the funds are used for qualified education expenses like tuition or fees, you should be good to go. If you’re not sure if you’ll meet those standards, it’s a good idea to check-in with a tax professional.

Can I get a scholarship while in college?

Yes! Students who are currently enrolled in college may be a good fit for our Tim and Carol Alford Scholarship.

Can I get scholarships in high school?

Yes! Students who are seniors while applications are open are encouraged to apply.
