How to Switch Your Checking Account
Switching your checking account can be a big decision! Setting up direct deposit and transferring utility payments can be a lot to keep track of, but that’s where we come in. With a little help from our friendly team, setting up your new account can be as simple as a few clicks.
Start by opening a new checking account. You can do this online, over the phone or at your local branch. Be sure to have your proof of physical address and an updated identification card on hand to complete the process. A previous statement showing all your bills is helpful too! Once you open your checking account, you’ll receive a new debit card. If you’re a new member, you’ll also receive access to our Online Banking platform and Mobile Banking app.
Next, it’s time to start using your new account. You’ll set up direct deposit, move over automatic payments (like bills and subscriptions) and maybe even add your debit card to your phone’s digital wallet. We’ll help you with all of this! All you need to do is schedule a meeting with one of our friendly Member Service Representatives.
Together, we’ll use ClickSwitch to move your direct deposit to your new checking account. With a little bit of information from you, ClickSwitch will work with your employer to move your direct deposit to Rogue Credit Union. It’s that easy!
If you want to transfer automatic bill payments or subscriptions during your appointment, bring your login information for each company’s website or billing portal. ClickSwitch will automatically connect us to most bill payment websites. It’s a safe, secure and simple way to move your bills from one account to another.
