Board Governance

Rogue Experience –  Philip has been a member of the Credit Union since 2005 and was elected to the Board in 2011. He currently serves as the Board Chair, previously serving as the Vice-Chair. He has also served on the Supervisory Committee and serves on other various Board committees. 

Background –  Philip is the Chief Financial Officer for PMCI, Inc. and was previously an Accounting Professor at Southern Oregon University.

Key Roles/Accomplishments –  Philip serves on several other boards in Southern Oregon, including Southern Oregon Youth Ballet, Access, Gorilla Capital, and St. Mary's School. In addition to his board roles, Philip has participated in several regional development committees on increasing workforce housing. Philip enjoys running and has completed two marathons.

Rogue Experience – Heather has been a member of the Credit Union since 1988. She was appointed to the Supervisory Committee in 2016 and elected to the Board in 2018. She currently serves as Vice Chair and is on other various Board committees.

Background – Heather is a CPA and the CFO of Blackstone Publishing in Ashland. Prior to Blackstone, she worked in public accounting in both Portland and Medford for nine years.

Key Roles/Accomplishments – Heather is a former Board member and Audit Committee Chair in the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She is a member of the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She also holds the CGMA designation. 

Rogue Experience – Peter has been a member of the Credit Union since 2014 and was elected to the Board in 2017. He also serves on other various Board committees.

Background – Peter was elected as a full-time mayor for the city of Pocatello, Idaho, for two terms (1990-1998). He has also served as Chief Financial Officer and Dean of College Services at Clackamas Community College in Oregon City. Peter served as President of Colorado Northwestern Community College prior to moving to the Rogue Valley where he became President of Rogue Community College (RCC) from 2004 to his retirement in 2016. 

Key Roles/Accomplishments – Peter serves on the Board of Directors for Asante, the Four Way Community Foundation, and is the Treasurer of the RCC Foundation.

Rogue Experience – Alex has been a member of the Credit Union since 2015. He was elected to the Board in 2017 and is currently serving as the Board Treasurer. He also serves on other various Board committees. 

Background – Alex is a professional Civil Engineer and Co-President at i.e. Engineering, Inc. in Roseburg.  

Key Roles/Accomplishments – Alex currently serves as Secretary of the Umpqua Basin Water Association and President of the Umpqua Community College Foundation Board.

Rogue Experience – Neil has been a member of the Credit Union since 2010. He was appointed to the Supervisory Committee in 2017 and served as Chair from 2018 to 2019. In 2020, he was elected to the Board and serves on other various Board committees. 

Background – Neil is originally from Brookings and was a member of Chetco Federal Credit Union for many years. Neil worked in the Portland area for the CPA firm, Moss Adams, prior to relocating to the Rogue Valley. He has been a key part of the management team for Grange Co-op since 2010. 

Key Roles/Accomplishments –  Neil is a CPA certified in Oregon. He is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Agriculture Council of California as well as a past Treasurer for the Central Point Chamber of Commerce. Neil is also a member of Vistage. 

Rogue Experience – Roger has been a member of Malheur Federal Credit Union for 26 years and has served on the board for 24 years. He has served as Board Chair for the past 4 years. He was appointed to the Rogue Credit Union Board of Directors in 2021.

Background – Roger is a Crop Consultant for Farmers Supply Co-Op in Weiser. Prior to that, he worked for a local Drip Irrigation Company and Micron Technology as a Manager in the Die Recovery Division.

Key Roles/Accomplishments – Roger has served on the board of directors for the Idaho Irrigation Equipment Association and is currently on the Scotch Pines Golf Course Board of Directors.

Rogue Experience – Katie has been a member of the credit union since 2015 and was appointed to the Board in 2020.

Background – Katie is the Vice President of Philanthropy at Dutch Bros.  Previously, Katie ran the Providence Community Health Foundation for over six years and the Easter Seals Oregon Rogue Valley Services for more than eight years.  

Key Roles and Accomplishments – Katie holds a Masters in Business Administration from Southern Oregon University and a Bachelors of Science in Business from Hawaii Pacific University.  Katie has a passion for community service and has especially worked hard to develop meaningful relationships that benefit the community. Notably, she was the third female President of the Rotary Club of Medford and a member of the original planning committee and President of the Women’s Leadership Conference.
